Due to firm growth, we are seeking a Finance Manager to join our internal Finance team in our Providence office.

Reporting to the Controller, the Finance Manager is essential in navigating the diverse elements of the Finance department. KLR is looking for a dynamic individual who will foster strong relationships within the finance team while upholding the firm’s financial integrity and ensuring seamless operations for the entire organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of all facets of the Finance department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Client Management, to ensure a solid foundation of the firm’s accounting framework and to provide adequate support and backup coverage throughout the department.
  • Conduct initial reviews of month-end reconciliations, monitoring and resolving reconciling items in collaboration with various departments.
  • Prepare multiple sets of internal financial statements for the Board of Directors and Partners monthly.
  • Generate and distribute monthly financial statements for Department Heads.
  • Assist with quarterly international reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly commission statements for recruiters.
  • Review and validate quarterly commission calculations for staff.
  • Prepare annual property tax returns and annual reports for MA and RI.
  • Manage the annual renewals of the Firm's CPA licenses.
  • Contribute innovative and thought-provoking solutions to department and Firm needs.
  • Provide constructive feedback on staff performance and offer support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Controller and Chief Operating Officer on various tasks and projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Public accounting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with STAR, QuickBooks, CCH ProFx Engagement, and Bill.com is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with sound business acumen.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

We are looking for a candidate to work full time. Normal hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with increased hours during month end and year end close.
