From our humble beginnings, we have grown into a leading firm with more than 300 talented individuals across eight offices, serving clients both nationally and internationally.
Larry Kahn left Peat Marwick to form a new CPA firm. His vision was to build a firm that would become a real presence in the New England business community. At the same time, Jack Renza was also leaving Peat Marwick to form a practice. Both Kahn and Renza shared a vision to provide clients with a full-range of services, extending well beyond the traditional audit and tax services.
Larry Kahn and Alan Litwin Join forces to establish Kahn Litwin & Co., Ltd. Headquarters were established on Hope Street, in Providence, RI. Alan's vision included two major ideas … to be a technology leader in the accounting industry, and to provide a higher level of service to our clients through the use of that technology.

Renza & Company merges with Kahn Litwin & Co., Ltd. to form Kahn, Litwin, Renza & Co., Ltd. KLR Executive Search Group is established. Founding Member of Leading Edge Alliance.
Monti CPA merges with KLR.
KLR headquarters are moved to 951 North Main Street Providence, RI and rebrands to KLR.
Casten, Victor & Co., LLP merges with KLR.
KLR wins first (of many) Best Place to work award.
Daniel J. Ryan and Company merges with KLR.
Sullivan, Shuman & Freedberg merges with KLR.
KLR earns spot as a Top 200 firm in the Country. Natick office relocates to Waltham. KLR University launched.
