Conduct a Risk Assessment to Prevent Cyber Crimes

April 14, 2015

Data breaches are a threat to all businesses, no matter what size; protect your business’ sensitive data through a risk assessment.

Safeguarding your business against online hackers is an important step in ensuring your company is not losing time, resources, or trust from your customers. The first step in making sure your business is safe from a cyberbreach is putting a cybersecurity program in place, and conducting a risk assessment.

Assess your risk!

After classifying your data and taking inventory of your hardware and software, it is time to conduct a risk assessment. As part of this assessment, it is helpful to:

  • Review all third parties that have access to your network.
  • Consult an IT company like Envision Technology Advisors to conduct a penetration test to pinpoint any weak areas or security gaps in your current program.
