The Base Erosion and Profit Sharing project (BEPS) was the focus of a recent two-day conference of the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development. BEPS is a project centered around: Tax planning strategies that aim to utilize loopholes to make profits vanish for tax benefits. Shifting profits to locations where the taxes are lower so that little or no overall corporate tax is owed. The project has attracted the attention of both political and business leaders, and their concerns about the implementation of the project.
