Jeff Beckwith , CPA, MSA

Partner, Audit Services Group

As a Partner at KLR, Jeff values the ability to build meaningful relationships with both clients and colleagues, while continuing to grow his career without compromising what matters most outside of work. After starting his career at a Big 4 firm, Jeff found a professional home at KLR where accessibility, collaboration, and a clear path to leadership allow him to make a lasting impact for his clients and the firm.

Why did you choose KLR?

When I started my accounting career at a Big 4 firm, I gained invaluable experience and worked alongside incredibly talented people. But as time went on, I found myself craving more long-term stability for myself and my family. Joining the partner ranks there would have required a move to either New York City or Kentucky, neither of which aligned with my personal life.

As I explored regional firms, KLR immediately stood out. From my first conversations with leadership, including Claire, John, and Lauren, I felt at home. KLR not only allowed me to continue growing my career without uprooting my life, but it also offered a much clearer path to partner. Having that defined path made all the difference.

What has your experience at KLR been like since joining?

Now that I’m a partner, I can confidently say that the relationships I’ve built here have been invaluable. If I had stayed at the larger firm, I wouldn’t have half the opportunities I do now.

What do you value most about KLR’s culture and leadership?

One of the things I value most about KLR is the accessibility of leadership. I can walk around the office and connect with partners and colleagues directly, whereas at the larger firm, even a simple conversation required going through an executive assistant. It’s rare (and incredibly valuable) to be at a firm where I can have a conversation with our CEO on any given day.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

KLR has given me countless opportunities to build meaningful, one-on-one relationships with clients. I get to serve as a true advisor, see the impact of my work firsthand, and watch my clients progress year after year, which is something I rarely experienced at my previous firm. That ability to make a real, lasting impact is what makes my work so fulfilling.

Looking back, how do you feel about your decision to join KLR?

Looking back, making the move to KLR was one of the best decisions of my career. I’ve found a place where I can grow, build meaningful relationships, and make a real difference, and that’s exactly what I was looking for.
