Tax Supervisor - Private Client Services (PCS)

We are seeking a Tax Supervisor to join our Private Client Services team in our Boston or Waltham offices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Technical planning and advising of clients that include high-profile individuals/families, as well as their related entities (including C-Corp, S-Corp, Trusts, and Partnerships)
  • Work on engagement deliverables (such as tax returns, work papers, etc.); participate in technical and strategic reviews as a member of the engagement team to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on time delivery and on budget
  • Prepare or review complex tax returns including partnerships, high net worth individuals, trusts, estates, and foundations
  • Own client work assigned for completion
  • Strategize with Managers regarding tax planning Research tax issues and providing guidance to other staff assigned to engagement
  • Work closely with less-experienced staff, and assist management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staff
  • Foster a team environment; demonstrate support of management and decisions and build a positive culture
  • Communicating complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting
  • Strong experience with individual taxation (high net worth)CPA certification or EA is highly preferred
  • Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Familiarity and willingness to perform all types of tax work from entity to individual
  • Ability to manage multiple high-level work simultaneously
  • Ability to translate complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables
  • Developed public accounting management experience

We are looking for a candidate to work full time. Normal hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with increased hours during our peak season: February through April and September through October. These periods require increasing normal weekly hours, which include weekends.
