KLR Supports the American Heart Association - Go Red LuncheonFebruary 09, 2012
KLR Women CPA's Business Exchange attends Go Red Luncheon
As women across the country are learning about heart disease during the month of February, KLR is raising awareness within the firm. Peri Ann Aptaker, CPA, Shareholder and Chair of the KLR Women CPA’s Business Exchange has spearheaded the initiative within the firm and joins the many women in Rhode Island attending the Go Red Luncheon on February 10th.
“After learning that nearly 500,000 women lose their lives each year to heart disease in the U.S, I reached out to the GO Red for Women movement. I have been on the Go Red committee for two years and have had the opportunity to meet many incredible women”, states Peri Ann Aptaker. “I look forward to reconnecting with friends and making new connections at this year’s event.”
KLR will have 10 Women CPA’s attending the Go Red Luncheon in support of the American Heart Association’s effort to increase awareness and help fight heart disease. Additionally, the firm initiated a fundraiser by selling “hearts” and sharing the results on KLR’s Face book page.
