KLR is pleased to announce that Lauren Amaral CPA, was elected Treasurer to the board of Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island serves thousands of meals each day to the elderly and those in need. “Meals on Wheels is such an important organization and I am thrilled to continue to serve on the board,” shared Lauren Amaral. “Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island is the only nonprofit, home-delivered meal program in the state and the work they do is so important to keeping seniors safe and in their homes. Anything I can do to help them achieve their mission is such a rewarding experience.” Lauren Amaral has over 10 years of experience working with manufacturing, distribution and not-for-profit organizations. She holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island. About Meals on Wheels Meals on Wheels of RI is dedicated to helping Rhode Island’s frail and elderly throughout the entire state. Since 1969, from Westerly to Woonsocket and from Newport to Cumberland, our staff and team of volunteers serve nearly 1,300 meals each day.
