This SMS Text Messaging Terms & Privacy Notice explains how we use SMS communications and how we protect information associated with those communications.

Consent and Opt-In
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive text messages from KLR, you consent to receive SMS communications from us at the number provided. Messages may include appointment reminders, requests for information or documents, engagement or account updates, service-related notifications, responses to inquiries, and other administrative communications related to your relationship with KLR.

Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. If you have any questions about your mobile service plan, it is best to contact your mobile service provider.

When you opt in to receive SMS communications from KLR, we may collect information such as:

• Your mobile phone number;
• Your consent and communication preferences; and
• Information related to SMS delivery and your interactions with our messages, such as responses and delivery status.

We use this information to provide and manage SMS communications, respond to your requests, fulfill our legal obligations, and provide our services. 

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing or receiving services from KLR.

Privacy and Sharing of Information
KLR respects your privacy, and your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (as may be updated from time to time). 

We may provide limited information to our service providers that support the operation of our business and delivery of our SMS communications. These providers are expected to protect the confidentiality and security of that information and may use that information only as necessary to provide services to KLR.

Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent data will not be sold to or shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.   

Protecting Confidential Information
SMS messaging is not a secure method for transmitting confidential or sensitive information. Please do not send social security numbers, tax identification numbers, bank or financial account information, passwords, tax documents, or other sensitive personal or financial information by text message.

If confidential or sensitive information needs to be exchanged, KLR may direct you to an appropriate secure communication method, such as our secure client portal.

Opting Out
You may opt out of KLR SMS communications at any time by replying “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE” to a text message from us.

After you text us “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE”, you may receive a final text message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After your opt-out has been processed, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us to that number unless you subsequently opt in again.

Opting out of SMS communications does not affect any other communications you may receive from KLR, such as communications via email, telephone, or through our secure client portal.

Message Delivery and Carrier Charges

Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier and service plan. Message delivery is subject to the availability and operation of wireless networks and is not guaranteed. Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. 

By opting in to receive SMS messages, you represent that the mobile phone number you provide is your own and you are authorized to receive text messages at that number. Please notify us if your mobile phone number changes. You understand that anyone with access to your mobile telephone may be able to view the messages you receive, and you agree that we will not be liable to you if this occurs. KLR reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your participation in SMS messaging at any time and for any reason, without notice.   

Minors

SMS messaging is intended for individuals who are 18 years old or older. By opting in for SMS messages, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. 

Changes to This Notice
KLR may update this SMS Text Messaging Terms & Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, technology, legal requirements, or SMS services. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued participation in SMS communications after this SMS Text Messaging Terms & Privacy Notice is updated constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
