This marks the completion of the DOT’s website revitalization efforts, launched in November 2021. What’s new? The new online portal is part of the DOT’s effort to improve its online presence, and provide accessible and user-friendly services to taxpayers across the Ocean State. Through the tax portal, taxpayers can Make online payments for all tax types including personal income and corporate taxesAccess filings (with the exception of personal income and corporate tax returns)Access good standing applicationsFile and pay with convenience and ease—taxpayers can link to debit or bank accountSchedule advance paymentsCheck compliance View prior returns How do you create an account? Call the Division of Taxation at 401-574-8484 to create a RI taxpayer portal account. To access the portal, go to https://taxportal.ri.gov . Do you have to create an account to access the benefits? If you do not have a portal account, you can still use the portal’s convenient “same-day services” options to make tax payments electronically and file and pay certain business taxes online.
