When entrepreneurs first start out, they must look for efficient working space, and often, they can take advantage of nearby laboratory and office areas that are available for rent. Now, hopeful chefs in New England are getting the same opportunity through a commercial kitchen that is being rented out for those that need cooking space.

According to The Herald News, the commercial kitchen was recently opened in Tiverton, Rhode Island, by Dawn Brooks-Rapp, a former food business owner. Brooks-Rapp wants the kitchen to serve as a space for food business startups, and she has already received inquiries from people who are interested in renting out cooking areas. The news source explained that on top of kitchen space, there are refrigerator and storage areas available. Cooking entrepreneurs from both Massachusetts and Rhode Island are encouraged to apply.

"The kitchen is perfect. It's great for a small business," she said. "Our hope is that people will be interested in starting a business and they'll join the farmers' market here (to sell their products.) It's a great place to try out a new product, and it's not expensive - you don't have to rent a brick and mortar facility. And it's a great community event."
