There are many ways that these hospitality professionals can showcase their abilities, and one upcoming event will feature several of these local food experts.

The Zagat Blog reported that as part of the Outside the Box festival, an event focusing on arts and music taking place July 13 - 21, the Fork Lift Food Festival will feature chefs from the city's top restaurants. They will be whipping up sample dishes and offering cooking demonstrations for attendees. The source noted that the Fork Lift Food Festival will be held July 18 - 21 at City Hall Plaza.

According to the Outside the Box website, some of the chefs that will be participating in the event include Todd English of Olive's restaurant, Jeremy Sewall of Island Creek Oyster House, Jody Adams of Rialto and Steve Difillippo of Davios Northern Italian, among other cooking professionals. Small plates will be provided with ticket purchases, although watching the live demonstrations is free.
