Senior Tax Manager - International Tax

Due to growth, we are seeking an International Tax Senior Manager to join our firm on a flexible hybrid basis.

The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for providing tax and consulting services to our high net worth clients as well as managing, developing and growing the local High Net Worth practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary relationship lead and trusted advisor for complex international tax clients by applying deep technical expertise, business acumen, and awareness of evolving global tax regulations, industry trends, and risk considerations; anticipate client needs and deliver proactive, value-driven solutions.
  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for multiple engagements simultaneously, overseeing engagement strategy, staffing, workflow, budgets, and delivery; ensure consistent execution of firm quality standards while balancing client expectations, profitability, and risk management.
  • Perform final-level technical and strategic reviews and sign off on complex U.S. federal, international, and multi-state tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Act as a technical authority on international tax compliance and reporting matters, including FBAR filings and Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 1120-F, and GILTI calculations and reporting; advise clients and internal teams on complex filing positions and risk exposure.
  • Lead research and interpretation of complex, emerging, and ambiguous tax issues; translate regulatory guidance into firm-wide best practices, client-facing insights, and scalable technical resources.
  • Play a key role in talent development by mentoring Managers, Supervisors and Associates, providing performance feedback, guiding career progression, and supporting firm-wide training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Drive practice growth through active participation in business development, including identifying new service opportunities, deepening existing client relationships, supporting proposals, and collaborating across service lines to expand cross-functional offerings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; a Master’s degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.
  • 8+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting or a related area, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficient in individual international tax issues, including GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credits, FDII, PFICs
  • Proficient in inbound planning
  • Strong analytical and tax research skills.
  • CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or equivalent certification is required
  • Strong ability to manage all facets of client engagements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities, along with solid operational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with tax and accounting technology; experience with CCH Axcess, SurePrep, and XCM is highly preferred.

This is a full-time position with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours, including some evenings and weekends, will be required during peak busy seasons.

Pay Range

The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range do not include benefits and bonus potential, and are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.

$145,000.00 - $190,000.00
